5 Symptoms Of Pregnancy For Which I Was Not Prepared

It finally happened and all it took was a year. Now as some of the more proper folk would say, I am with child.  But some of us on the more ratchet end of the spectrum would simply say I'm knocked up. Me? I'm finally preggers ya'll.  All thanks to 6 lbs 12 oz baby Jesus. According to the ultra sound its just one.

11 Years And Counting: Our Anniversary Weekend

This past weekend the hubs and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary!! Whoop! Whoop! To be quite honest, about 5 years ago, I didn’t think we would be standing here.  But all I can say is, but God. So here we are, another year under our belts. I have no stories for you on the lessons learned this far.  Just know that its been work, compromise, communication (actively listening) and whole lot of respect for one another.  But it’s also been filled with plenty of laughter and fun times.

5 Simple Ways To Manage The Family Finances

Before my husband and I were married, we had to have that discussion on our current and future family finances.  We knew we had to eliminate any frivolous debt prior to our nuptials because I was uprooting my life and starting a new one with him in Florida with no job.

We worked to pay off any credit card debt and loans, not including my student loans to ensure we started our marriage with no extra debt or expenses outside of the norm (car note, rent, cell phone, etc.)  We did this all while also paying for our wedding.

Kanye West finally dropped The Life of Pablo. Chris Christie proved in spite of all the tough talk, he's simply another egotistic opportunistic politician.

Dad 2.0 Summit 2016: Day One in Washington DC

And this is precisely why you gather a bunch of emotionally frustrated fathers in one place who's most healthy form of catharsis is writing online vs. face murder charges, which is totally inexcusable. That would make us a shitty parent. For the record, murderers fall in the shitty parent category more times than not, and these fathers gathered at Dad 2.0 can stomach being called many names, but a shitty parent is probably the worst. So they write instead.

3 Tips For The Ultimate Date Night

Now listen, this date occurred over a year ago BUT it’s just as relevant today because, well, Valentine’s Day is this weekend.  While the hubs and I don’t make a big deal about the “holiday” I know some of you are going to pull some last minute nonsense that will have both of you giving each other the side eye all next week.

So, listen Linda, listen, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to involve some fancy dinner, a dozen roses or chocolates.
